Is Digital Marketing The Best Option For Me?

This is when it gets fun and a little complicated. The immediate answer is that - it depends. Factors like your target market and target audiences, what are your organization's objectives, is this a complex or simplistic sale, and what exactly are your trying to message all will be key factors. One of the biggest factors is whether your are a B2B or B2C company, or a nonprofit. All of this we can cover in our free consultation.

A quick note about traditional marketing channels (TV, Print, Radio) - we believe that these are still viable channels. We would want to tie them in with any marketing strategy. We don't provide these services directly and  we are happy to provide some recommendations of agencies wo do these services.

B2B Marketing versus B2C marketing is a big factor (or even B2G)

Business-to-Business (B2B) transactions have a different profile and process than Business-to-Consumer. This will impact what channels work better than others. B2B and B2C marketing channels differ significantly in strategy and execution. B2B marketing focuses on building long-term relationships, often leveraging content marketing, LinkedIn, email campaigns, and account-based marketing (ABM) to engage decision-makers over a longer sales cycle. In contrast, B2C marketing prioritizes broad reach, emotional appeal, and quick conversions through social media, influencer marketing, paid ads, and direct-to-consumer channels. While B2B buyers value detailed case studies and ROI-driven messaging, B2C consumers respond to storytelling, promotions, and brand experiences that create an immediate connection.

Another consideration would be whether you are trying to do a push marketing strategy or pull marketing strategy. The choice between a push or pull strategy significantly impacts the marketing channels a business prioritizes. A push strategy focuses on proactively placing products or services in front of the target audience, often through direct sales, outbound marketing, trade shows, and paid advertising. This approach is common in B2B settings where relationship-building and personalized outreach drive conversions. In contrast, a pull strategy aims to attract customers by creating demand, relying on inbound marketing tactics such as SEO, content marketing, social media, and brand advocacy. This method is often favored in B2C marketing, where compelling content, organic discovery, and customer engagement encourage consumers to seek out a product or service. Many businesses use a hybrid approach, balancing push and pull elements to optimize reach and conversions.

B2B versus B2C - I am nonprofit!

Yes this is one of the areas where a nonprofit is going to differentiate itself from a for profit business. However, these principles remain largely the same. If you are nonprofit looking to secure contracts from other entities  you might follow similar principles as B2B. If you are launching a new service line, or promoting some of your efforts you might be following closer to a B2C model. At Anuncier we are happy to sit down with you and provide some general feedback at no cost.

Also, there are some channels you should be using no matter what - for example Google provides $10,000 a year for nonprofits - this should be taken advantage. We are happy to help you walk through the process.

Marketing Channels Should Be Reflective Of Strategy...Not The Strategy

Have you ever been in those brainstorming sessions where they ask people, what should we do to increase revenue, introduce a new product, or other strategic business goals? And then some of the first ideas are things like we should be on this platform, or we should advertise like this. Those ideas are good ideas. It is critical to have a marketing strategy first will help support the goals of the business all while helping determine what the best channels might be. There have been many circumstances where the channel has been determined before the strategy has been set. In almost every case, this has lead to uninspired results, confusion, or wasted resources.

At Anuncier we want to make sure that the strategy is in place, before we recommend or even perform any services that are relate to marketing channels.
